Hi,

I've used this forum before for tips but never joined, so thought I'd pop up and say hello.

We live in Dubai and have a V8 90 Jap spec 1997 and have a 1999 Td5 at our house in the UK.
I've loved 'Defenders' since I was a kid and bought the Td5 a few years ago despite people telling me I'd hate it for regular use. They were wrong, its been my favourite vehicle to use since then and as soon as we moved over to Dubai I found a V8 short wheel base and bought that.

The green one is in the UK and the grey one is in Dubai.
I'm actually thinking of shipping the V8 home to the UK at some point....although the wheels will need to be changed to pass an MOT and I'm not sure about LHD in the UK.
The tidy V8's seem to command decent money in the UK.

Very nice indeed but agree on changing the wheels on the the dubai specked one very clean and tidy and most importantly rust free.

The grey V8 might end up with a supercharged engine in it at some point this year.
The 4.0L V8 is 'steady' but it isn't particularly exciting.

It needs a supercharged engine and a set of big brakes/discs on it.

Hi - new to this site. Just had both prop shaft bearings replaced on my Freelander 2 (05). Now I have a developed a 'creaking' sound on the near side front. Any idea what it might be?
