These are two pretty naive ones I know, but a simple answer (or two) would be great. Feel free to rip the pash though 
1. If you drive into a ford/ flooded area with a 90 (it's a TD5) fitted with a snorkel to tow out a vehicle, is engine idle speed (whilst you wade out to attach tow ropes and things) sufficient to keep the exhaust clear?
and
2. If, for whatever reason the engine should stall, is a re-start possible when the exhaust is sumberged, or is it a big no-no?
