Just fitted a JVC cd player to my P38 which had its associated problems, but now I see it has two aerial leads???

ah could be, but both were into the back of the old tape player.

sure they're aerial leads, and not just phono connectors which could have gone straight to the power amp stage ?

I noticed that mine has two fitted into the back of my standard Clarion head unit. I have no GPS or Car Phone so I just assumed that there was on for the FM and one for the MW/LW frequencies.

I have a very vague recollection that Clarion used a diversity system that had two aerials so it could be that. Mind you I haven't played with car audio systems for 20 years so could be completely wrong!!
