Twin turbo

call me dense, but

i know roughly have a turbo works, but a supercharger? and overdrive?

benefits? I recall the ford gt having a supercharger and 2 massive t5 turbos. Am i right in thinking that the supercharger works off belt with similar spool to turbo only it drags air in? so if you were to use a small supercharger to effectively boost to twin turbos the effect would be..

a. ****load of power and ability to run much larger turbos
b. an engine in pieces rapidly
c.just wouldnt happen in the first place

?
 
theres not much point in having a much larger compressor housing than standard, as the engines can only take 18psi boost max, but what you want is a constant 18psi

hence a second smaller turbo, plus the larger compressor would need more power to spool it up so you get more lag. the thng which youre trying to eliminate.
