I tweaked my pump, as I was getting white smoke and I now get little black, but it has made no difference to the amount of power. I think there is another adjustment on the pump but I have only heard bad things when people have had a play with them.
im after doing the same but turning it down a little which 1 is it to turn it up and down as last time i took it to swadlicote diesel centre they turned it up 5 turns and now want to nock it back a turn or 2 to get a lil more fuel consumption as £10 for 20miles just aint worth it now

Face the engine . Fuel pump on left. Between engine and pump is a gap. Screw is on the back of the pump in that gap. What I did was screw it right in and then out three turns. Try it and see, BUT BEWARE engine needs diesel to lubricate bores so don,t run it too lean.
