turns over fires up and cuts out

hi guys
mater has been parked up for two weeks while ive had a hire car from work went to start him this morning after having the battery on charge it fired up then cut out after a couple of seconds and the battery went flat recharged the battery and tried again same thing took the glow plugs out cleaned them and still the same any ideas

How long before the battery died ? if died after a few cranks, then yer battery is borked.

Blocked filter / air in the fuel filter / borked Lift pump, air in the Injector system, air in the lift pump....

Check the filter isn't blocked / full of air.

Put yer hand under the lift pump and pump the lever underneath it for a bit to prime the system and try him again.

If it works, you've got an air ingress problem in the system somewhere - check the lines, unions and filter seal. Check the pump for leaks also.

If it doesn't start properly, check the pump output.
Pop the fuel line off the filter feed line and pump the lever again for a bit - you should get fuel coming out.
if not... replace it.

As a last resort Search the forum on how to bleed the injector system

was the battery flat again,might be alternator not charging and buggered battery
