The battery on my 2002 4.6 went flat after being left over night. On coming to the car in the morning all 4 indicators were on which i thought was strange charged battery set windows etc turned to start engine turns over but will not fire at all not even a cough? tried leaving car with battery disconnected all day and fully charged battery retried again this evening but it still turns over but will not start. a few days ago i came to the car in the evening and all the indicators were on opened doors and they went off really stuck now any ideas?

Get it resync. The indicators coming on is probably rf interference. Unplug the blue wire on your rf box under rear drivers side parcel shelf..
i have just moved house after 2.5 yrs of owner ship without any rf probs just been out and becm still awake! just pulled aerial out so far so good becem is a sleep my car is one of the last built when did the last rf receiver get replaced/updated?

There's been three versions of the RF receiver but I don't know when the last version came out. I suspect it was after they'd stopped producing the P38. Yours'll be the Mk2 version. You'll need the Mk3 which is part nr YWY500170. Beware of buying one on Ebay. The actual units don't have part numbers on them and they could well be old units in a new box.

thanks for the replys hope to resync tommorrow. irish rover how long you over for might require your services with my hevac if replacing the distribution blend motor doesn't clear the open cheque book!

Return on Monday 1st Nov. back around 16th December for a few few weeks. Have a a couple of days free next week...tied up Wed & Thurs.
No problem other days. Not far from M6/M5 split southbound.

I had the 4 indicators on symptom a while ago, it often resulted in a resync being required. unplugged the arial from the rf in an attempt to reduce the risk, didn't make any difference, bought the syncmate used it twice which paid for it easily. Later found the problem to be one of the micro switches in the drivers side door lock, it was telling the car the door was being opened and closed even when it wasn't and totally confusing the alarm and imobiliser, on one occasion I had to go out at 2:00 am to switch the bloody alarm off. My advice is to get the door lock mechanism stripped cleaned and reasembled.

well done a resync car now runs again replaced blend motor and lcd bulb hevac now works without open cheque book just hope unplugging rf aerial helps with turning indicators all on so far so good.

ihad similar probs. indicators on, interior lights on. never found the cause but havnt had a problem since fitting o solar charger to keep the battery topped up. Or it could be a coincidene
