No John. I might try that when it happens again. The lack of power is random, most of the time she's performing OK (sierra says the numbers are a bit low, but she seems to go).

EDIT: The MAF readings always seem pretty good, around 70 at idle and over 600 on full bore.

if you need to try a different map and maf sensor ive got a td5 garaged up so you could swop and try before you buy, 70 at idle seems a little high, normally my 2 are 50-60

Cheers John - I've gone and ordered a MAP & a MAF from Ribble Valley 4x4 £170 all in for OEM stuff (VDO and Bosch presumably).

Might have to arrange a meet up sometime anyway though!

OK sorted! :D MAP sensor going faulty regarding inlet temperature reading!

Whilst driving over to Ribble Valley 4x4 after work to pick up the sensors, the flat spot manifested itself big time. Plugged in the Hawkeye and got IAT fault active! Looking at live data, the IAT was pegged at 119.9 degrees C  No wonder the ECU was not giving me any power, it thought the engine was heading for a molten mess on the floor! (coolant temp was running at about 89 deg so no worries.) Later on in the journey the sensor worked again and engine power was regained.

One Bosch MAP sensor later and she's fine. Fitted the VDO MAF sensor after getting home - it gives slightly lower readings than the previous cheapy one fitted.

Presumably having a K&N filter insert affects airflow somewhat ;)

Thanks guys!
