I have a Disco 2 TD5,looking to upgrade turbo & re-map to provide bit more grunt.I know there are a few companies out there who provide various kits,bolt-ons,etc.Any red flags for any particular company, system, etc ?
I've also heard of potential problems with exhaust manifold warping, any other issues I need to be aware of ?
Any advice,opinions gratefully appreciated

Disclaimer - i do work closely with Empire tuning but what I type is my personal opinion based on previous experience.

Id avoid TD5inside, Storm and Mastaz. Not great for various reasons.

Gareth at Empire Tuning is a lovely guy, very helpful and one of the best tuners out there.

Empire does a great bolt on Hybrid turbo set up which wont break the bank but will transform your Disco. UK based (Essex), customer service is excellent along with after sales support.

The TD5 manifolds are pretty weak as standard, easily replaced with a dewebbed and de stressed one. Quite a few people do kits now, mostly on Facebook. Fairly straightforward to swap just be prepared for snapped studs. After that should be good tbf

Any questions just ask!

There was a bloke who came round to do them, what happened to him?
That would probably be Jose from TD5Inside - who I would thoroughly recommend - despite the comments above.
Jose's biggest 'issue' is that he is very busy due to his popularity , covering most of Europe.

No a uk bloke, d something I think the company, was popular then disappeared

Aagh, I think I know the guy you mean - Mike at Dynachip.
Yes, he seemed to stop activity a few years ago.
He did my first "Stage 1" ECU upgrade - more than 12 years ago !
