I have just taken some pics of the turbo turbine with an endoscope. After what i was hoping was a simple tear in the hose which is mounted directly to the pressure side of the turbo. I thought i better look at the turbine just to make sure. NOT A PRETTY SIGHT. it looks like something or more likely things have gone through the blades. could anything else cause this kind of damage?
i also had a peek down the pressure side and can see what looks like a filter or gauze.... there is a close up in the thumb nails. i am hoping what ever that is its stopped the majority of the blades rushing off to do their worst. Any advice, sympathy, or money would be appretiated

It doesn't take much to damage the compressor. A small stone that has snuck in at filter change time is all it takes. I even heard of unscrupulous garages deliberately damaging a turbo for an extra job. It looks like you'll need a replacement as it's performance will suffer with that damage :(

what did you use to take those pictures? Would be excellent for checking the inside of the chassis!

He said an endoscope .. camera on a movable swivelly, thing .. Lidl (I think) had them on sale for about £50 recently ..
