Hi, can someone point me in the direction of boost adjustment on a VNT?
Ive had it fitted a while now and wish to up the boost as I have an oversized intercooler fitted.
Any help would be appreciated.
thanks

Haha here now!

You can stick to around 18psi without a boost box/uprated MAP + ECU boost limit raised.

I believe VNTs run best at around 24psi, at that level ya need a boost box or an uprated MAP (Alive, BAS & TD5inisde do them) + ECU boost limit raised.

Ideally you should use a bleed valve or boost controller to set the boost so you dont get "boost creep" which is not good!

The blees valves sit in the actuator line. Set the actuator at standard then use the bleed valve to adjust the boost

When I got mine remapped properly by Alive, It had severe diesel knock under hard acceleration in 1st gear or even reving hard in neutral.

Turned the boost down by adjusting the wastegate to be safe but must get a bleed valve and raise the boost back up when I get my nanocom screen fixed so can monitor everything while messing around with it.

Hopefully the knock was due to boost creep and not something more serious that was just showing up under boost

Thanks all.
So I’ve finally got a boost controller..
I forgot to add that I’ve had a map sorted with the boost limit raised so no issues there.
Can some one enlighten me on how high you can push the boost?
The turbo is boosting as stock at 24psi.

Thanks all again
