Turbo problems - is it deid?

It's the rev's going up but speed not increasing that gives it away though - I don't think you mentioned that before - what else could it be?

Maybe the clutch is not failing as such but is a bit contaminated with oil? Do you have your wading plug in the bell housing by any chance?

normally it would, but this is wolf.. he might say the same if it was a non turbo diesel :D

Ok I'll give that a shot.

What do you reckon then spook? Clutch? I did pull a couple of small pieces of friction material out of the bellhousing hole and as I said I knew it was it's way out anyway. I don't keep a wading plug in there or anything though. There's no juddering or slipping when I'm accelerating, only a slight judder if I ride the clutch or when pulling away

lol, do that 5th gear slip test

if you get stuck, if you can get it to mine we can swap bits and change things over off mine till we find the problem with yours.

Well I'm starting to think it may be some sort of fuelling problem/blockage. Since giving the redex a chance to run through it has got considerably better. The revs and turbo no longer climb but instead when I'm trying to accelerate they hit a flat spot and just stop. Ive got low down power no problem whatsoever but if I try to climb a hill in third or reach 60mph it will get to a point where it just flattens out and I get no more acceleration whatsoever. In 5th on the motorway I occasionally get a feeling of it holding back, which to me seems like fuel filter. I'm thinking I'll run the rest of this tank of fuel through and change the filter, see if that makes any difference.

Oh I did the 5th gear slip test, no problems there whatsoever so its not the clutch

i reckon it started after you added veg and your tank filter and pipes are clogged

length of pipe, connect one end to lift pump, through the window to a jerry can and see what happens on a private road :D :p
