Turbo fitting

I am fitting a new turbo to my 300Tdi disco and want to know how to seal the manifold pipes from 1 & 4 exhaust ports to the turbo unit as they seem to be a loose fit, any help please:confused:
 
You dont they have a piston ring set up to allow for expansion.
Which is something all td5 owners would like on their cars!
