I have a titanium one fitted... no disadvantage at all... as about the benefit, it seems to me that the boost is buildiing up a bit faster but it might be a placebo effect though the reduced radiant heat of the turbo is benefic for all the electrics which are in the engine bay

I watched a video about turbo blankets after posting last night, it might not be relevant to TD5''s but if you go to 2:14 in this video he mentioned the intake manifold getting hotter meaning not all the cylinders are the same temp.

Which blanket did you go for? I was looking at this one https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Exoracin...ion/273563714699?_trksid=p2485497.m4902.l9144 but I need to make sure it will fit as I have a VNT

I went for something very similar directly from China but it was too long ago to keep the purchase history for that item... i have no ideea what's the physical difference between a VNT and ''original" turbo but i had to drill a hole i the blanket where the wastegate rod is attached... not the case for a VNT i think
