i have a full sized intercooler so am i right in saying its the aircon bumper i need that will give me that bit of extra clearance meaning i wont have to cut into the grille and still allow me to fit a winch?

i would think that as it says it will do the job

Correct.

I went for the shadow tubular. Fitted it myself. Been on three years, still looks like new. Bought champion 8500lb winch at same time, got a bit of discount First Four. They also know their stuff and will advise on the right fitment, winch etc.
Fitting involved cutting a small slot out of the bodywork just below the rad grill. Aside from that no problems at all. They supplied all required bolts, detailed destructions in English (not chinklish) as so often you find with stuff off fleabay.
That be my advise mate.
Mines a 1995 100 Defender 300 Tdi H/Top.
