Trying to Value my series 2a LWB diesel Land rover

In bronze green. Manufactured between April 1967 and March 1968 (suffixd D), the chassis and bulkhead is extreemly well galvanised ( as origional ) , overdrive. Steering and brakes overhauled. 2.25 deisel engine running well.
The body has a few dents but pretty good overall. Used daily untill recently.
 
I am trying to find information about my Landie, anyone know of a website that might be helpful, I've tried a few but no joy on putting the VIN number in.

The best way of valuing any vehicle is to look at EBay and see what similar models are selling for. Unfortunately most owners believe their pride and joy is worth at least 50% more than it actually is.

eBay and LRO are good for giving an idea of value, although an older vehicle like yours might be difficult to value. With a galvanised chassis and bulkhead, it will be worth quite a lot as the problem areas have been sorted.

If you want details on the history, contact the British Motor Heritage Trust in Warwickshire with your registration number and VIN number and they will let you know what they’re got. There is a cost for it though.
 
Thought that might be the reason...remember you need 50 constructive posts on here before touting for prospective buyers...
I wasn't aware of that ( I should have read the rules!) I didn't/don't intend to tout for prospective buyers on this site. I'll advertise her elsewhere once I've gained a little more knowledge.

Why not just stick around, make yourself useful, get 50 constructive posts and benefit from helping/receiving help from members???
And have the choice to offer your pride and joy to someone here that will pay and cherish the rusty tat.
