trying to identify a model type

Hi there everyone,

I've come on to this site to see if anyone can help me try and identify a particular model of landrover.
I live in a small village and we are currently having a problem with a gentleman exposing himself to women through the windows of their homes in the early hours of the morning, and has been seen making good his escape in a landrover.
Obviously we are keen to resolve this issue, and as one of the few that has seen the gentlemans vehicle parked on many occasions and not thought anything of it, I am kicking myself that I didn't not pay greater attention.
One thing I think I remember about it was the back end, but again it was late and I'm not sure if I've imagined it, so I'm calling on the expertise of you guys.
It was defender shape swb, open backed, pale green, and now for the bit I'm not too sure about, for some reason it has stuck in my mind that the back corners were not 90 degrees but curved with chequer plating. Is there such a model type and if so what is it. Any info would be helpful.
