Hey I've got an early 90 county on a c plate, I'm trying to find the original paint code or paint name for re spraying! The plate code is no longer on the plate near the vin number or on the doors? I've looked a color matches but stratos and Tuscan blue don't look right, can anyone help?

Yeah mines faded a lot it's not in bad bad condition but the bonnet is abused! Is that your 110 as its in great condition? I've just bought a door for bit which is that original colour after a bit of tlc its a super colour and your say that's marine blue? Thanks

That's one I pinched from Google. I've an '87, paintwork's not bad, but I'm
planning on tarting it up a bit soon. I'm going to keep the original blue as I think the colour palette for the older Landys is much more appealing than the boring Defenders today!

That chart owl is great thanks, so I've arrowhead it down to marine blue and stratos/Tasman! Blue dogg that picture you sent of the 110 is that defiantly marine blue? Problem in when I borrow proper spray booth match cards none were quite there on an unfaded patch plus when you type into google the different colors the same lady's come up

Also guys have any of you re sprayed a 90 if so how many liters did you use and how many litres of thinners? Thanks

I have just hotsprayed mine with synthetic, I used 1 ltr etch primer on the bare metal, 3 ltrs of primer undercoat, 3 ltrs of gloss on the body (had some left over) and 1 ltr for the cab (again had some left over) I didn't use any thiners in the paint but used 5 ltrs of gun wash to clean up. Done at home in my garage and it came out ok.

Thanks for that and that very nice indeed....mines not that modified tho! I think I'm going to plump for marine blue and hope for the best!

It was advertised as such! As you've already found, Google the paint code and you won't find two colours the same! This is a colour chart showing Marine Blue, but it might be represented differently on your screen than mine! If you can find some unfaded paint ( under the gear tunnel carpet is a good place ) the paint shop should be able to get a colourimeter reading from it and mix to match.
