Well i posted a thread on the general chat side few days ago and got slaughtered off evryone.. except revjames- big thanks to you... so i am told the best way to do things is to say hi first.. so.... Hi :)

Hello and welcome to the loony zone. You wanna watch that RevJames guy, he'll be trying ta save yer soul if yer not careful. He tried it wiv me but his boss told him not ta bother cause I ain't welcome in his house.

Hi Kell,
Looked up ur previous posts, yep, they did give you a bit of a pasting, but you did accuse them of being childish, your right of course, but that is part of the culture that exists here;)

The key is to give as good as you get, take the ****,:p laugh at yourself, and whenever you can help out with some knowledge, do so. Only been here a couple of months myself, but have yet to find a forum that is more helpful when you have a problem, (persistance pays off).:D

Welcome to the Zone, and if you really do have £20k+ to spend on a vehicle, as Revjames said, your very fortunate (watch him though, he only wants to be your mate fopr your money:D :D

Well thanks for the 2nd try n i'l try n educate my mind as to how it all ticks in here... didnt know what i was letting myself in for the other night!

well i have put a small deposit down on a 2003 rr td6. Am gonna take a mechanic with me when i hand the final £ over but any other tips to look out for would be greatly appreciated.. i mean like obvious things i could check:)

ps the £ for the rr is from insurance..trust me i deserve it... have spent the last four years having 5 ops, 21 tablets a day n in pain..all cos of a woman driver knnocking me off a m-bike so thats why i wanna treat myself

Hi Kell

Welcome to loony zone

Is it a manual or automatic? I know the autos did suffer from gearbox probs. The rangerover yuppies should be able to enlighten you on that.

If you are that worried and are spending that much I would take an independant car warranty out on the vehicle, It should cost you about £200-£450 a year which is peanuts in comparrison to what a problem could cost you. Do an internet search for independant car warranty.

hi kell and welcome
ive taken and given a few bits o abuse masel on here
its just the way o things
but yell learn as ye go along
cant help you much on rr cept to say they can be expensive tae fix so take a pro active approach tae maintaining it:D

its an auto i am buying with 80k on the clocks, has full dealer history and bloke has owned it from 6 mths old n as i guess like most its never been even near a grass verge never mind off road. Thanks for the heds up bout the warranty.. will look into it :)

k, i'm gonna brave the rr forum.. dont panic i have put my sunday bests on for it :p

Good choice. Should be OK but if it does go wrong, be ready for big bills.
I've always liked the TD6, but don't ever drive the TDV8, or you'll never be happy again.

Oh, and stick with Landyzone, there's good advice hidden in here some where, you just sometime need a thick skin to find it.
