It's alive and well touch wood.

Corroded ignition amp pin and no thermal paste-replaced and new coil cured refusal to attempt to fire hot

Changed manky fuel filter after fighting it .

Had it running and not cutting out hot but running rough, looks like previous owner damaged distributor pickup cover and we found centrifugal advance spring hanging off- refitted.

Wants timing checked as I didn't have timing light with me.

We couldn't road test as no mot, hopefully ok

Monday will let us know,

Hopefully, we didn't want to road test with no mot, but we have a creamy smooth v8 burble from a temperamental non runner
