I am thinking about replacing the seals on the corner windows of my my truck cab. Trawled the web and found limited but quite contradictory advise ranging from “don’t go there... pay a pro to do this” to “simples”. Does anyone have an experience they want to share or advice to offer?

Easy job for me but I do boat window seals every year you will need a similar tool to the one in the link I have one
with a roller on it...

To remove just prize out the rubber strip in the centre of the seal (outside) then push the window out
best to have an assistant at this point.
Fit new seal around glass fit the lower part into the cab & get assistant to push against the window & peal the
rubber from inside all the way round. Screwdriver may be required.
Move to outside, for this part you will need a some washing up liquid & water in a spray bottle & spray the seal
put the rubber insert through the tool & work it into the window seal. Best method is by wigging the tool side to
side & pushing against the seal & moving forward at the same time(if that makes any sense)
Then cut the excess off.

Job Done or pay me to do it :D
Btw if you drop & smash any of the windows I have spares;)

Thanks for taking the trouble to get back to me. I would very happily pay you to do it!! Don't suppose you are anywhere near Stroud. (unlikely if you are working on boats). It sounds like a reasonably straightforward job ...once you know what you are doing. And therein lies the problem for me at least.
