Trouble with ebay seller

chap I work for has sold his jeep cherokee 3 times on ebay.

the first time, zero contact from buyer. he emailed, called, left messages, no reply whatsoever.
I called ebay, and they were 'meh?' returned him the £20 final valuation fee, still cost him about £20 to list the vehicle, so he relisted it for another £20, auction finishes and after a few days, another £20 FVF charged, and then many phone calls later he finally gets through to the buyer who promises faithfully to come and pick it up, never turns up. phones him again, and the buyer's like 'what? oh yeah, I'll call you back in ten minutes' then predictably nowt. another dispute opened, another £20 FVF returned, and then the third time the chap actually turns up, test drives it, says its a lovely car, well worth the £400, but its sorned, so must be trailered away, promises to ring back that afternoon to arrange a time to collect. and yeah, you guessed it. nothing. So its cost him so far £60 to list the bastard thing, and its still sat in his garden with the mot getting shorter and shorter. and what have ebay done? fck all. cant even leave them negative feedback.

I did report the buyers, and request they be shot.

Same happened to me, bought an engine gearbox etc and seller would not sell it as it went too cheap, all you can do is neg feedback I think.

On another car forum i go on a guy bought a car and the other guy, would not sell for the price.
When looked into, and Ebay rules read, apparently auction rules DO NOT apply to vehicles, you cannot force to buy or sell a vehicle, its the same sort of rules like buying private, worse case scenario is you get bad feedback, There is NO binding contract either selling or buying vehicles, also houses and boats if I remember correctly.

I was having a read of them, but from what I could understand was that the BIDDER was non-binding, therefore had the right to back out even after the auction ended.
It did not mention anything about the seller and even said they can not refuse sale because they forgot to put a reserve and it didn't reach a price they wanted.
But yeh, Ebay do bugger all, just say "sorry, we'll look into it"
The B*****d then immediately relisted it as a buy it now

Ebay say "All bids made in the Real Estate and eBay Motors vehicles categories are considered non-binding."
By selling/bidding on items on their site you are deemed to have read & accepted their T&Cs.
So don't waste time or money thinking a court will make the seller sell to you.
Accept that ebay is full of arseholes, you've had the misfortune to meet one & move on.

I am having this very issue with my Laguna

If you list an item at £20, it sells but no collection, you can claim the £20 back from eBay, so your times wasted but not your money, you realist and it happens again, claim again. I've done it a few times for dick head buyers. But you must open a case to get your money back!

Yeh I read that, but that's talking about things from the buyers point of view, saying I would have the option of not paying if I didn't want to.
It doesn't mention about the seller though, it's not clearly worded enough.
