Trouble Starting

Hi everyone, new member and I'm hoping for some help!
My Freelander 1 TD4 has gradually got worse at starting, it struggles cold but starts and it is more likely to fail on me when the engine is warm! It just keeps turning over without starting.
Have had it plugged in and it seemed to be a fuel issue but no clear faults showed up. The bloke said that there seemed to be a lag of fuel pressure when turning the key.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Fuel pressure regulator O rings is a prime suspect for that issue.

My Dad did just say that he found one of the crush washers hard to get on, wonder if that could have affected it?

If the pressure regulator O rings don't seal, then the fuel pressure can't build high enough to provide injection.
