I just had to install a new set of boost hoses on my 2.4 Puma. I bought a set of the Allisport Blue Silicone Boost Hoses to replace the damaged original hoses.
The Inter-Cooler to Intake Manifold side went in fine - no problems. However the Turbo to Inter-Cooler side is giving trouble. I got the end connected to the Inter-Cooler, but the Turbo side doesn't seem to want to go on. It seems to be hitting something on the alternator which doesn't allow it to seat completely onto the outlet on the turbo. In addition, the hose clamp won't fit on properly either.
I am not sure if I am doing something wrong or if there is something wrong with the alternator installation causing it to get in the way.
While the hose isn't seated all the way onto the turbo, it looks like even if it were the hose would be resting against the steering linkage.
Has anyone had any experience with the Alli Sport Silicone Bost Hoses? Any similar issues - or even better, can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong?
Thank you in advance for any help or advice.
