I mentioned the Halfrauds 2.25ton jack (Bill's earlier post) to Philip, who has just popped over to Wellingborough to get one.

Looks good, bigger all round than our 2.5 ton unit, but at that price it's a bit of a bargain!

They've got some in the Lynn branch. They are a good price.
She did say 50quid, so might get some 3t axle stands as well. :D

thanks for all the inputs.

read the reviews before you buy - some are less than complementary about it

In that case why have we all got Land Rovers and not Toyotas or similar:p

I think about 2 out of over 30 said they wouldn't recommend it to a friend which isn't too bad. I wouldn't pay full price for it, but don't think you can knock it for 35 quid.

I got a Halfords 2 ton (not hi-lift) Jack and Axle Stands for £19 ish when they were on sale ... and they're brilliant (for the price) ...

... and before anyone says a 2t jack isn't heavy enough, then I reply "bollacks". I don't ever intend lifting the whole vehicle with it, just one corner or, at a push, one side at most .. :)

and me was a bargain:D i got a creeper trolley with my package comes in handy:p
