Tripmeter !

Im in the procces of rebuilding a S111 lightweight ...the speedo head was U/S so a friend found one for me at the scottish L/R show in working order and a good price.....But ! this one has no tripmeter fitted !!!! the question is did this come from a S2 or S2A .or was it something new when the S111 came along..........Im not that botherd about it .. im more curious as to when LR started to fit them ? ?????

i think you'd find out that they fitted the tripmeter late series 2a say around 1971 just as the series 3 was about to be launched, as some late s2a's had series 3 front lights and bonnet.
