Hi

Had a look through all the pinout I can find for the BeCM but can't figure which one takes the control from the stalks to bring up the trip computer info. Trying to see if its the same plug that is related to my no existent sunroof message.

Anybody have this info or a link? I have been back and forward through Rave but can't see it in there.

Since the info is held in the instrument panel out station, maybe the stalk doesn't go to the BECM? I haven't checked but I would guess the stalk button for the trip goes to the instrument panel. The BECM holds mileage and has a data link I think to the instrument panel.

:behindsofa:

The indicator stalk, as with all other manually operated switches sends inputs to the Becm where they are converted to outputs. The Becm interfaces with the Instrument panel via a data link to put up the necessary messages and warning lamps etc. None of the switches or relays are wired or connected via relays in the conventional manner to the Instrument panel to activate lights or messages

So if all the other stalks, indicator, wipers and washers etc work it would indicate that the serial link between the instrument pack and the BeCM works ok. So either the pack is not sending information about the trip button being pressed or the BeCM is not returning the information or I guess the instrument pack doesn't know what to do/can't interprete the information being returned.

Or your trip control switch isn't making contact? So the BeCM isn't receiving an input as the switch is duff? Try removing the left control stalk and pinning the switch and wires with a multimeter? Else try a breakers for a replacement?
