Hi All

Has anyone ever bought these silver or wood dashboard trim kits on ebay for about 50 quid. The photos look quite good and the fleabay feedback is quite good, just wondering if anyone on here used them. Cheers

do you mean the 'walnut dash company' ones ?

Auto Interiors, Auto Interiors

I've got one of their real wood veneer dash kits on my TD5 disco - not the plastic 'wood effect' ones. - it was on when i had it but the receipt from the previous owner was included with all the paperwork i got - £139 in 2005

if you check their website the real wood kits are £149 now & £99 for the 'wood effect' ones

A mate of mine asked me about it & bought one on ebay - the first time there were lots of people bidding & it went for about £120 , the next time there were no other bids & he got it for £49! - just put a max bid of £49/£51 & you should get one eventually

but if they're advertising it as the 'real wood' kit - make sure you get this - don't let them fob you of with the plastic crap! - to cover yourself just send them a message asking 'is this a real wood kit I'm bidding for'. I suspect that if it goes for a low price they just send the plastic kit & hope no-one notices

I helped him fit his - the key is to clean all the areas to be fitted to with Meths & T-cut first - his looks just as good as mine but only cost him 50 quid.

have attached photos of mine to give you an idea of what they look
