Hi All

I'm new here and have just bought a Freelander 2 with a couple of mechanical faults to use as a dive wagon.
First issue is that it's an automatic and won't go into gear. My code scanner says solenoid 7 is stuck on (P2733 pressure control solenoid F - Stuck on).
Questions are:
- Do I replace all of them at once when doing this job?
- Where's a good place to buy them from?
- Is there any other cleaning or refurbishment I should do while this part is off?

Any help greatly appreciated. Looking forward to her taking me cave and mine diving once she's roadworthy :)

Not sure what auto box it has but first step should be check fluid levels & perhaps drain & refill ? Also clean connector contacts. Then re-diagnose.

Hi
Thanks for the reply.
Its and AWF21 box. Looks like the only options for it is brand new whole unit, recon solenoids from China or a second hand unit.
A good clean and flush is good advice though and I'll do that asap.
Cheers

Seems to be used in lots of cars. Ashcroft don't list it, but worth a call. Also https://www.reconautogearbox.co.uk/

Seems even 2007 Mondeo has one.
Yeah they're really common. Though I think they are sold as 'the unit' rather than just solenoids. I did hope to find the one solenoid I need and get it for a 50 quid fix. China will send me all eight reconned solenoids for £150 so I think that's possibly the best value so far. But maybe I should be trying my local breakers yard too.

Aha just found out that this box is more commonly referred to as the AWTF-80 and that brings up significantly better options. Found an american supplier with them for £50 singly.

There's two auto's fitted to the FL2. Early one and late one. Each requires a different spec of fluid.
