Transmission problems stalling engine 2002 Disco 2

I just bought a 2002 Disco 2 and after driving it about 180 km to my sons where I was staying I left it parked for a week and a half before driving it again. This time it kept stalling with the M and S and sometimes the air bag and hill descent lights coming on. Not going into limp mode, just stalling. if I waited several minutes it would start again and run beautifully.
From what I can see in the owners manual the lights indicate an electrical fault in the transmission.

Has anyone here experienced anything like 5this and can anyone offer any advice please

You have to read the fault code stored in the transmission ECU, anythig else is a guessing game though at least you can check the battery clamps to be well tightened and measure voltage with engine running

Battery clamps are new and I'll get it into a land rover mechanic asap, thanks Sierra
