Have a freelander 1 that has developed a transmission issue over the weekend. I can't get the gears in when the car is turning over. Is this a transmission fluid issue? Or gearbox? Hopefully something I can fix myself....!
 
Hi,

If you can change the gear with the engine off, it more probably a clutch issue.

Some precision about the issue, and engine could be helpfull.
 
Thanks for the quick reply! New issue for me to be honest, so not sure what could help but it's a 2ltr diesel engine and pedals behave as normal, just doesn't go into gear. Looks like a recovery and garage visit then
