So today I removed the proper shaft and old transmission drum and internals. Cleaned everything necessary and installed new gaskets and oil seal. New pads and drum. Now the old pads were filthy and covered in oil and I have had an oil leak coming from somewhere... This could be it. The Haynes manual I have is crap and gives you barely any information. What is the torque for the pinion flange nut with the clip and is the felt washer to be located behind it as shown in pictures? Worrying thing is the nut was only finger tight when I removed it!!!! Also I take the axles don't require any grease and are covered by the gearbox oil?
