after being over taken by the postlady on her pedal bike whilst i was driving down the road, i have desided i am fed up with going depressingly slow, with as much acceleration as a snail in a swimming pool doing doggy paddel pulling against the olympic swimming team, who by chance are in powerboats..........

in my yard i have a transit and a XR4x4 which both have engines but will never see the light of the road again. i am hoping to use one of the engines as a donor for the 109 IIa.

which engine would people reccomend?

the vehicle is/will be used by my better half to tow her horse and by me for a little fun......down green lanes and in the back.........

the transit engine is a 2.5 non-turbo deisel.
the V6 is a 2.8 with manual injection at the moment, but if i use it i will put a carb on.

and finally does anybody have a conversion kit for either of these engine kicking about that they want to do a deal on? needs to go onto a series IIa gearbox.

cheers for sticking with it and reading the whole post,
Nathan.

right i think i will be going down the V6 route......

can anybody tell me if putting a more moderner engine in my tax exempt landy will void the tax exemption?

the trouble with laying back and going oohhh aaahhhh every few seconds is it gets a tad boring and when you fall asleep the nagging can go on for weeks!!!!!!

aye thats true. once ive fallen asleep on the job. just once for christs sake.
and has she ever let me forget it?
fat chance.
