Transfere box lever jammend

Owned my Series1 300TDI about 4 years and in that time I have never tried to use the diff lock or low range, trying to move the lever the other day found it to be solid, have read in the forums this can happen if not used, any ideas how to free it ?, New both previous owners and transfer box ok as far as can find out, will probably never need it but would like to get all the gears working

Have a look in the common faults section of this site. Or do a search. I remember reading a massive thread on this subject, with pictures and everything!
