Transfer box question

i need to change the gasket on my td5 transfer box. It is the plate near the drain hole. It looks easy enough but there are 2 nuts and tread also holding on the plate. Is it ok to just undo the nuts, are they just locating points to make sure the plate goes back in the right place and right way around. Marto

just undo them they are just locating points that arent used, theres no gasket ,use a silicon sealant,if sumps leaking id think its either coming from above or the 2 bolts next to drain plug that go right through so could with some sealant on the threads,
