Transfer Box Oil

I have a Very small leak, more like a drip comong from my hand brake drum on my 1990, 200tdi.
Been told its oil from the transfer box, from a seal, sorry for this stupid qeustion but how do I check the oil, and replace seal ect ???

filler plug on back of tfr box to the side of the brake drum when viewed from rear. 1/2" square drive.

cleaning all the oil out from the brakes is the biggest bind.

Just checked oil, its quite low, will have to top it up tomorrow.
Whats the dangers/symtoms of running it to low?? also what oil should I be buying??

Just donr my sons Hilux diffs with EP 90, also used it on my rear diff when I replaced seal.
Thought it was going to be some kind of very expensive oil for the Transfer box, still got plenty left

will top it up tomorrow, then find out about new seal.

Droped the oil tonight, there was quite a bit in after all.
Filled up anyway with New Oil,
Going to see about new clutch at garage tomorow will ask them about the Leak too.

The rear output seal is a snap to replace.

I cleaned out the breather and there was a wee bit of gunk in it. Looks like the small drip has stopped.
