Transfer box Gears

My four wheel drive (red gear) was getting jamed in and out so I inspected the gears in my Transfer box to see whats happening. The Low gear (The bigger one) isnt meshing with the Intermediate gear by a fraction. If I just turn the handbrake drum a tiny fraction it will slip in, equally if it moves another fraction it wont come out of gear. There is some minor burring on the teeth of both gears but nothing drastic. Is there anyway of ajusting this fraction of movement so the gear slips in or out properly?

the teeth will have to be aligned to engage you often have to let clutch up a bit for this to happen
