I use to own an xj sovereign 4.0l really really good car but it was a 1992 model and did have to have some welding done. The ultimate Jag is the supercharged xj8 1994 onwards you can pick up really good ones for £3000.

just waitin on the guy comming back out of hospital, looks like i may pick it up on monday, gave it the once over today, nice L plate, all i can see is the famous door handles have snapped!!

When I saw 740 I thought you were talking Volvos ....

Best thing I ever had for scaring the children at the traffic lights was a series 1 Maserati Quattroporte. 4.7 litre V8 and in a body that looked like a Rolls but boy did that thing shift, and what a great noise to go with it. Did 11 mpg though so I'm glad someone else is paying for it now.

My brother has an immaculate Jag XJ6 3.2 Sport, about a 1995, and it's a great old thing.

People are so scared of buying jags and i dont now why. Since ford took over jaguar the cars have been really really reliable and you can source cheap parts for them too. My 4.0l sovereign 1992 did 25mpg and was 100% reliable. Cars these days are so ugly thats why i love the look of the discovery's there really good looking 4X4's.
