Trying to sort my tell tale out, not sure what its supposed to do.

The lamp had blown, so replaced it, however, now, when you indicate, the trailer light comes on, and doesnt go off unless you kill ignition power, does it again next time you indicate.
if you uase hazards, it lights up, but goes out when yourn the hazards off.

This is with nothing connected.

Towbar wiring is fine, worked properly a week or so ago (when i discovered no telltale)

presumably, it should light up or flash with the indicators WITH a trailer connected.

Dodgy flasher unit? or any other suggestions?

progress (possibly)
found the pdf owners manual

"Trailer direction indicators-GREEN
Flashes in conjunction with the
vehicle direction indicator lights to show that
all trailer indicator lights are functioning
correctly. In the event of a bulb failure on the
trailer, the warning light flashes once and then
remains off.
NOTE:When a trailer is not fitted, the
warning light will only flash once"

mine isnt flashing once, its coming on, and staying on, ill try a new flasher unit.

Yes it should flash with a trailer connected - sort of tells you that the electrics are working ok. Without a trailer connected it should flash once when you indicate. It will continually flash with the hazard warning lights too.

In normal operation

Some trailers that have been retro fitted with LED lamps wont flash the tell tale. In those cases you need to fit ballast resistors to the trailer to mimic the heavier load of filament lamps.

Yep thought that - but he didn't mention leds.
Does look like a flasher unit problem as the telltale is playing up - connected to the trailer or not.
