Trailer hire or can you move a hot tub for me

Hi,

Been offered a hot tub / spa by the bloke my Brother-in-Law is working for. But, need to dismantle it and move it from Horley to my house near Jnc6 of the M25.

Sooo, anyone near CR6 that can lend me a trailer? or anyone in Horley? Or can anyone recommend somewhere I can hire something from? Hot tub is approx 2.1m x 2.1m x 1.1m but I'm not sure on weight.

There are companies on Ebay that offer the service - I believe they transport them on their side

Hmmm, been and looked on ebay, and they charge £200 ish just to move it 10 miles and over flat easy access.

I'm looking at 30ish miles moved and I live on a hill, so it's got to up some steps. Think the people advertising on ebay will want too much for what I need doing

At least I know I can move it on it's side now

Local scrap yard will probably pit it on a beavertasil for 40/50 maybe less failing that trsiler hire for half day about £25

Trailer hire for £25 sounds like the money I wanted to spend, and I know of 5 or 6 useful blokes who will help move it.

I moved one that size out of a garden last year and they're frickin' heavy. Used a special trailer that the guys who bought it brought along. I wouldn't fancy doing it without one... Should be fun in the sun! Even more when you get it in.

I think we'll need pickies of the move, and the tub in use if you've got some hotties to get in there!

Just had a look on A-Plant Twin Axle Trailers and it shows the following

So It's going to cost me £47.40 plus the vat to hire a trailer for a week Think I'll have some of that.
