It works when I transfer ito to a win VM like this. Some none windows users have said it worked for them but not tested it meself as I only deal with propper computers. It's how I get it working on Win 10 when others say it won't. To be frank it int my problem if peeps can't buy a propper computer. The need to be different and all that... just so they can stick 2 fingers up to MS...

I have a few FL1 manuals that work fine on my Droid. I have more on my lappy that only work on the lappy, then only when I change the date to 2005, which is odd.

I think some of them may be on a monthly update basis where they remind you yer not using the latest version if the date is wrong. Like microcat where yer need to put the date back, if you int got the latest date cracked version. The things we do for our hippo's...

Re Rave:
I've got triple boot Win10, Xubuntu & Debian Testing (last 2 Linux).
I use Linux 100% at home (still learning, great fun) and Windows for work
I mounted the iso easily enough in Linux, but was asked for passwords
I tried Wine but got nowhere - never had much luck with that
I then tried gnome-boxes with a Win10 iso to get a windows VM but it failed
So I just mounted it in Windows 10.

Re Brake light switch:
I took it off (simple bayonet type twist) and sprayed with WD40, but lights still come on when braking
It got a number on it: XKB 100170
I noticed there is a white sensor of some type just above it (proximity to the metal plate on the brake pedal that activates the brake light switch?)
Its square in section with a ratchet to push it in.
What's this for and how should it be adapted, please?

Oh, found it in the Rave Workshop Manual - Service Procedures pg. 70-13:
Sensor - brake pedal position
Refit
1. Position sensor to mounting bracket and
connect multiplug.
2. Position [brake light] switch and secure bayonet fitting.
3. Hold brake pedal depressed and push sensor
fully into bracket, release pedal slowly to set
sensor position.

I think this is what I did, I'll check it in the morning.

Just an update for anyone who comes across this via a search:
I took the brake light switch off and sprayed it liberally with WD40
It looked like it could be taken apart - there were some clips - but as I didn't know what springs would fly out or which clips I would break I just sprayed WD40 into the plunger etc. & then worked it in and out for a while
Re-fitted the switch but the lights still on.
However, that was a few days/week ago & I've just realised that the lights don't come on any more
Must have cleaned the connections over time
