Hello all,

I had the track rod ends replaced by a local garage. When I inspected the work I noticed the one on the drivers side didn't sit at 90degrees to the floor like it used to it is now over to one side. It didn't look right so I questioned it, the garage has told me that it's ok and it's over to one side because they have adjusted he tracking.

Am I being fed a load of rubbish?

Many thanks.

Yes. He obviously can't be bothered to line it up correctly. You could always slacken the clamp yourself and turn the end the small amount needed without upsetting the tracking.

There have been reports of the steering knocking on rough ground due to this slight misalignment
