hi, can you change the track rod end without removing the front wheel . i can get to it on full lock but has the front wheel need to be removed and car jacked up ??
 
Yes you can, providing it's not rusted on solid. Why not just remove the wheel? It's only 5 nuts and it'll save you groping behind the wheel.
 
It is much more difficult but I guess can be done. If you are asking because you don't have a workshop jack or axle stands, then it would be safer that way but you could still jack the car up using the spare wheel jack and then support the car with wooden blocks or bricks etc. and/or slide the wheel under it. If you aren't confidence about doing that then best not too - not worth the risk.
 
Much, much easier with the wheels off.


Axle stands are very affordable and a good investment if you don't have them already.
