Hi All
For some reason my P38 fails to shift into 4th gear except at just over 50mph it selects 4th and then very quickly selects lockup. All other gear shifts appear normal although I have noticed at light throttle it changes into 2rd at about 2000rpm and then to 3rd in a normal time.
I put the Hawkeye on for the gearbox with no faults found, I then did the ECM and checked the TPS position and at full throttle on the pedal I got 79% and 84% when operating it under the bonnet. with the throttle closed it registers 0%.
I have read on here that the TPS does have an affect on the gear shifting so my question is does those reading indicate a possible TPS fault. Should full throttle give a 100% reading.
