I have a 110 CSW and am looking for a towbar mounted bike rack, preferably one which supports the bike's wheels (rather than simply letting the wheels hang down).

Does anybody know of any suitable racks - it's easy to find a towbar mounted rack, but not one that fits around the rear mounted spare wheel. Thanks for your help!

Thanks Poacher. Sounds like a great solution. Was it difficult to make / what's involved? Alternatively, do you know if anything like your spacer available to purchase?

i have a pendle three bike rack but the reality is the rear spare does get in the way and it can only be used to take two bikes, i know pendle do add ons to make mine into a 4 biker(all the do is provide a londer outrigger. they do have a 4 bike rack which can be used as a three biker in the same way as mine,. i have rigged up three bikes on mine at a squeeze, but the handle bars a far too close to my vertical rear window, something to bear in mind.

Does the Pendle 3 bike rack handle 2 bikes well?

I only need 2 bikes and getting the 3 bike rack and and not having to have the spacer for the spare wheel looks like a good solution. The Pendle racks seem to have a very good reputation.

I is making one for a Defender, attaches to the rear crossmember though.

the pendle three bike rack does handle two bikes just fine, even one bike on its own, no worries, maybe even take the full three bikes , so long as one is a childs. it needs a bit of work on the landy , you have to remove the towbar itself and fit a pendle supplied bracket/interface.(two bolts) then when it comes to putting the rack on and off it just slides into the bracket. no fiddling about, no tools, no time to do. pretty stable when on the vehicle to due to its two support points, rather than the usual one.
