Towball height

I have just bought myself a series 2 w reg Disco, my question is, does anyone know the correct height the towball should be for self level suspension. At the moment mine is sitting at 18" ground to centre of ball.

That is about the standard for little trailers and caravans.

my towball is about the same height on my TD5 ES and i tow a twin axle caravan which sits level when hitched up and car running,and my car is fitted with SLS, tows even better than my old 300 tdi es that had coil over shocks and uprated springs too!!!!

Just tried mine for the first time, towball at 20" think i need to get a 2" drop plate just to get the nose on the 'van slightly down for towing.
