Towball fixing nuts

I've just looked in the boot of my Rangie to fit the towball and, found the bolt is mullered, looks like it been hammered in and damaged the thread,Rimmers do the bolt, but can't find the nuts, I think there should be 2, anyone know the thread size? cheers Andy

Cheers for the quick reply mate, LR Series do M16 nyloc, but seem too cheap, compared to the price of the bolt, maybe need only 1, being nyloc what do you think? Andy

Is it the normal towball or the detachable LR swan neck ??
If it's the normal flange type, they are M16..if it's the detachable they are larger and have a fine thread around M20 at least.

If there is a Caterpillar dealer/service center near you, get a 3/4" bolt with two nuts from them (show them the old one to be sure to get the correct length).
It worked for me. I got two sets for the price of two pints of beer.
