total wipeout !

right a small problem with my disco , last evening decided to go shopping in it (yeah i know ) just to give it a run out , fired up no problem , warmed engine up pulled to top of drive , then it cut out , without warning .
tried to re-start completly dead nuthing , turned key on/off a few times light on dash came on then off like they were attached to a flasher unit ,
never had this problem before , didnt seem like a immobiliser problem as i tried to reset it and it worked fine , only thing i can think off is the heavy rain weve had has somehwo got into the electrics ..............

anyone else had a problem like this ??

Sounds a bit like a earth prob . I would check the batt 1st check and clean the terminals, then check earth to body/chassis

Is there any noise when trying to turn the key over?

batterys ok , no noise from engine starter etc etc earths are good aswell

Bad ignition switch? Loose wire?

could be ignition switch didnt think of that one , it can stay like it for now begining to lose faith in it very quickly now
