Torque wrench calibration

Hi all, searched, can't find owt!

I have a Challenge TW3887 toque wrench. Nothing special, but had it a few years. Can anyone advice how to check it or calibrate it??

Find someone with another torque wrench,use that and set the torque at what ever and see if the numbers match.

That may be a goer. Have read about manually testing it with a bit of string, a wieght on the end of the handle and a bit of maths. Sounds like a faff.

find someone in the military, we have people on camp that do all that kinda of kit every year.

Gee good idea, why didn't I think of that. What is this gooogly thing you speak of. Perhaps I'll be able to find a speacialist testing laboratory on the other side of the country who will only charge a hunderd quid to test my five year old £25 wrench, for ****s sake!:doh:

A kind offer thank you. But I imagine even postage would be close to what the thing is worth anyway.
