Was going to replace my intercooler and turbo hoses today, but then the weather turned and had to abandon the job, but I noticed that when I moved the top intercooler pipe the pipe were it joins the manifold had some movement .Is this normal to have slight movement in the manifold were the hose joins ?

Its the end part that moves......

Ok so update on the moving pipe, I removed all the turbo/ intercooler hoses yesterday and when I removed the bottom hose the part that was moving (circled A in above pic) came away with the hose.I cleaned it up with brake cleaner and refitted into the manifold tapped in with rubber hammer, was a nice tight fit and no more movement then I fitted all new silicone hoses and jubilee clips, also noticed that the turbo hose had a small split aswell. Also fitted an allisport cyclone breather and cleaned the hose to the air intake, anyway took the landy for a spin this afternoon and couldn't believe the difference in power,it was like driving a different motor, the landy is much more responsive in all gears and the pick up is like wow.so looks like the loose connector and the split in turbo hose had a huge effect on the overall performance :)

...that's great news, very satisfying aswell

Muckmuck I'm impressed with those silicone pipes especially the narrow blue pipe for the turbo boost adjustment...... what did you use and where did you find it mines staring to look perish...sorry for the OT enquiry

Hi turbo/intercooler hoses are terrafirma and the smaller silicone tube was purchased from ebay for the grand sum of £2 for half metre ,mine too was looking slightly perished plus for a couple of quid was worth doing at the same time as the other hoses, just need a new air intake too turbo hose next .

thanks for that....any problems with heat exposure in that position? Actually at £2 a shot it wouldn't really matter if you had to replace every so often....job done
